MR. MARK FERNANDEZ

MR. CHINKEE TAN

On top of TV and radio appearances, Chinkee Tan has become the Philippines’ Top Wealth Coach, providing insightful and life-giving talks on topics such as How to Save, How to Budget, How to Get Out of Debt, Six Steps to Financial Freedom, and Personal Finance among several others. Carl Dy started his career working for property Giant Ayala Land 15 yrs ago and immediately got promoted to be the youngest Director for Sales for Ayala Land Premier. He is a graduate of the Harvard Business School and is the president of Spectrum Investments, a property portfolio management company. He is an author of 2 books on property and goes around the globe inspiring and teachingp Filipinos how to manage their finances and invest in property.

What is “OFW Congress Sama-Summer Tayo!”?

The 1st OFW Congress will kick off the effort to promote financial literacy among overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) with the theme Sama-Summer Tayo sa Pag-Asenso! No less than 5,000 OFWs and their families are expected to gather at this important launch that would include:

  • Talks from renowned speakers and experts on how to save, invest and start a family enterprise;
  • Over 70 exhibitors showcasing investment-worthy opportunities from real estate, insurance and micro, small and medium enterprises;
  • Food and bazaar stalls; raffles, games, loot bags; wholesome entertainment

After Sama-Summer Tayo sa Pag-Asenso! at the PICC, the 1st OFW Congress will mount four pocket events in the Philippines and abroad where more OFWs would be able to learn how to manage their earnings wisely and sustainably.

What is OFW Congress?

OFW CONGRESS: SAY YES TO PROGRESS! is a platform or avenue for both private and public sectors that aim to provide support in informing, educating and communicating to OFWs the significance of long-term planning and wealth management. This will also serve as a medium for dissemination of information relevant to OFWs.

Who are eligible to register and join the event?

OFWs and their loved ones are eligible to join the event. If you are one of the following, you are welcome to join!

  • If you are a registered OFW and is here for vacation
  • If you are a repatriated OFW
  • If you are a retiring OFW
  • If you are a relative of an OFW
  • If you are an OFW applicant with OEC
  • If you are a loved one of an OFW with valid documents

I am an OFW. How can I join?

Please bring a copy of one (1) of the following documents*, together with your valid ID and a printed copy of your registration summary:

  • 1. OEC
  • 2. OFW ID
  • 3. Seaman’s Book
  • 4. OWWA ID
  • 5. PDOS Certificate

Note: If you registered as an OFW, you may bring up to three (3) guests with you. You are also entitled to 1 (stub), which will also serve as a raffle stub and pass for FREE pampering services.

I am not an OFW. How can I join?

If you are an immediate family member, a relative or loved one of an OFW, you may join the event even if the OFW is currently not in the Philippines. However, the following conditions must be met:

1. If you are an immediate family member of the OFW: You must carry with you the following documents, together with a printed form of your registration:

  • a. Marriage Certificate plus your valid ID if you are the spouse of the OFW
  • b. Birth Certificate plus your valid ID if you are a child of the OFW
  • c. Birth Certificate of OFW plus your valid ID if you are a parent of the OFW(Your name must match with the OFW’s birth certificate)
  • d. Birth Certificates of the OFW and sibling where name of one parent in both birth certificates matches must be brought if your are a sibling of the OFW.

In addition to the above mentioned requirements, you must also bring the OFW’s valid ID plus a copy of at least one (1) of the following OFW’s proof of overseas employment:

  • a. OEC or OFW ID
  • b. Seaman’s Book

Note: If you registered as an immediate family member, you may bring up to two (2) guests with you. You are also entitled to 1 (stub), which will also serve as a raffle stub and pass for FREE pampering services.

Don’t forget your valid documents. We accept walk-ins but pre-register to secure your slots now!

2. If you are a relative or a loved one of the OFW: but not his/her immediate family member, please bring a copy of OFW’s OEC / OFW ID / Seaman’s Book, together with a printed form of your registration.

Note: If you registered as a loved one, but not an immediate family member, you may bring up to two (2) other guests with you. We accept walk-ins but pre-register to secure your slots now!

Is there any payment upon registering at the event?

The event is FREE for all OFWs. For every one (1) OFW with valid documents, there is a maximum of three (3) non-OFW guests who can enter with/on behalf of the OFW.

However, a payment of one hundred pesos (PHP 100.00) for every excess of three (3) non-OFW guests.
